A family holiday is all about relaxing and spending time together without having to worry about all the little things, like painting the spare room, cleaning the kitchen cupboards and cutting the grass! That’s why a week at Pictillum is just what you need. We pride ourselves on giving you the opportunities to really enjoy your stay and have put together a guide for both the house and the local area, along with brochures to a number of local attractions.
When you arrive at Pictillum, there will be a welcome basket waiting for you with those things that help you to face the unpacking. Our basket includes Milk, Tea/Coffee, Sugar, Cordial, Fresh homemade bread and jam and cake and half a dozen eggs from our very own happy hens. If you would like to order some shopping for the week online (Tesco and Asda deliver to the house), then we’d be happy to receive it and unpack it for you (orders should be arranged to arrive between 12.00 and 14.00). You can also order more eggs from us during the week if you’d like to and we can drop them off at the house. We always ensure that there are some staple items in the larder for our guests. These include oil, basic herbs and spices, salt, pepper, pasta and rice. You’re more than welcome to use these. We simply ask that you replace what you use where appropriate. All in all, we’re here to make your stay a true holiday so if there’s anything we can do for your arrival, don’t hesitate to ask.
Children
Don’t forget it’s a holiday for them to! As well as a separate games room/shed with table tennis table for those rainy days, there’s also a large garden for them to play in and explore. Inside the house there’s a selection of children’s toys and jigsaws, books and DVDs. We’ve also thought of the little things you might just forget when you’re packing for the week and the house is stocked with children’s crockery, cutlery, cups and bibs for the little ones. If you need a high chair and/or booster seat just let us know and we can have this ready for you too.
