Located in beautiful east Perthshire, the surrounding area offers a wonderfully varied
landscape of rolling farmland, dramatic hills of the highlands, lochs and rivers
and beautiful Glens to explore. The area is rich in history and offers endless opportunities
to visit castles, palaces, antique centres and whisky distilleries.
Pictillum is ideally
located for winter skiing being only 40 minutes by car from Glenshee, the biggest
ski area in Scotland. The local glens also provide some fantastic walking and cycling
and we can assist you in finding routes to suit all abilities.
We are situated in
a golfer’s paradise with 5 golf courses within easy reach; Alyth, Glenisla & Strathmore
within 5 minutes, Rosemount, Blairgowrie within 15 minutes. The famous courses of
Carnoustie, St Andrews & Gleneagles are within 50 minutes.
There are plenty of beautiful
walks from the door and in the nearby Glens to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of
the area.
Edinburgh is only an hour away and Perth and Dundee are a 30 minute drive through lovely countryside.
