Accommodation
Pictillum is a traditional two storey stone built barn. The entrance porch complete with benched seating and downstairs cloakroom/WC opens into the kitchen dining area. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with a gas 3 oven Aga, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The adjoining dining area seats 8 people comfortably and enjoys beautiful views over the valley from the floor to ceiling windows.
There are patio doors on each side of the kitchen leading to the gardens which surround the house.
Garden furniture and a BBQ are available to enable you to enjoy both indoor and outdoor living.
The master bathroom follows and is a room you may not want to leave with the oversized shower cubicle and sunken double ended bath. The bathroom also has a sink, WC and heated towel rail.
The final room is the master bedroom which is another large double room with a fitted wardrobe. The full height windows frame the views to the North and continue the light and airy feel to the house.
The whole of the downstairs benefits from underfloor heating not to mention the cosy Aga! A cot and highchair are also available on request. The barn also includes free Wifi.
The private parking for 4 cars is adjoined to the large lockable shed/games room which is equipped with a full sized table tennis table and dart board. The shed also has plenty of room to store all your outdoor gear from bikes and golf clubs to skis and sledges.
Also near to the barn, there is a small cottage which is privately owned by the family and is used occasionally as a holiday house. The cottage has its own private garden and parking.
Unfortunately, due to the open plan nature of the house, we do not allow pets at Pictillum.
Please note that Pictillum has a no smoking policy throughout the property.
There is a utility room downstairs with a washing machine, sink, drying pulley and iron/ironing board. Leading on from the utility room there is the first of two downstairs bedrooms which has twin beds and the downstairs bathroom (with a bath/shower over, WC, sink and heated towel rail).
The second bedroom downstairs is a large double with fitted wardrobes, full height windows and patio door which leads into the side garden. Heading upstairs brings you to the large open plan mezzanine living room which overlooks the double height dining area. The living room hosts a television, DVD player, games and books not to mention the fantastic views. A further bedroom containing twin beds is adjacent to the living room.
